Casa Lila, with a stylized sun painted on the gable is clearly visible from across the valley. Originally a Spanish-style rural chalet, the owner, a German woman, has converted it into homely holiday apartments of various sizes, each with its own style. With its many terraces, and set in a garden it will appeal to those looking for something more individual as an alternative to the usual tourist accommodation. Puerto de MoganPuerto Mogan developed from a small fishing village on the sheltered, sun-favoured south-west coast of Gran Canaria into an attractive holiday resort. There are now about 70 restaurants and cafés offering a choice of Canarian home-cooking, international cuisine and freshly-caught fish from Mogan. There are regular ferries along the coast to Arguineguín and you can take a trip on a submarine, go sailing or diving, play boules and go shopping in the boutiques and the weekly market. Or, if you just want to relax, take a swim in the calm waters of the bay and laze on the golden beach and indulge in the sunshine, which we enjoy for 350 days of the year. |
